LOCAL NEWS:

January 26, 2009 a ice storm moved across the River Valley shutting down most of the
area business's along with all of the local school districts.  Auto Plex couldn't get parts in
from Tulsa because of the icy roads for over three days.  The University of Arkansas
campus was closed back to back days for the first time in over fifty years.  There was
estimate to be over a 1,000 residents without power in Crawford county for two days.

June 2008  Due to the increasing volume of RV and Truck repair Auto Plex had to
undergo another building expansion program.  We added another 2500 square feet to
the already 14000 square feet existing complex.  Auto Plex also enlarged its secure
holding area to ensure our RV and Truck customers that their personal belongings will
be safe while their coach is being repaired.

On April 9, 2008 Crawford and Sebastian counties were hit hard with a devastating
hail storm.  Millions of dollars in damages have been estimated.  As the storm
approached the team at Auto Plex prepared to help repair our customers vehicles.
Jason immediately called in his PDR team to come assist with the repairs.  The next
morning Danny and Jason came up with a scheduling system to make sure that all are
customers had a date and time to bring their vehicles in.  Within hours we had scheduled
out thru January 2009.  With the overwhelming task ahead of us are team started
working seven days a week.  After three months of these long hours we finally got ahead
of the game to where we could cut back to ten hour days for five days a week.  The Auto
Plex team is projecting it will be handling this hail storm's claims for at least a year.

On Monday 1/22/08 a fast moving ice storm hit northern Crawford County un-
expectedly.  At about 3:30 pm the phones started ringing and didn't quit ringing until early
Tuesday morning for stranded customers.  Rick and Danny worked non stop doing
rollover recoveries and winch outs on I-540, Hwy 71, and other side roads.  At one time
we were requested to remove as many as five vehicles from one over pass on I-540.
Fortunately no one was fatally hurt.

Arkansas State taxes have taken a silent increase in the month of January.  As of
January 1, 2008 the local cap or tiered tax has been eliminated.  Instead of sales tax
being figured on a tiered tax plan, all sales tax will be figured at a flat rate of 9% on the
gross amount.  In the past, there was a $2500 cap for the rate of which taxes figured at
9% and any taxes beyond that were figured at a lower percentage of 6%.  Not anymore
though.

In December 07 the Alma Police vehicles received an Extreme Makeover.   Police Chief
Russell White, asked that we make the existing patrol vehicles be painted black and
white to match the new units that will soon be added to the squad.  The new color
scheme has made the front and rear of the vehicles black, while the doors and roof
panels remain white.  I have talked to some local residents who have commented that
the new cars stand out more from the side view, but are more camouflaged from the front
and rear views.
2006 Grand Opening &
Customer Appreciation Day
This day was a chance for the Auto Plex Team to give back and say, "Thank You" to our
customers and the community. Even though it was hot, we had a turnout of over four
hundred people come out for free popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, and slushies.  Local chapter
car clubs toughed out the heat to grace us with beautiful rides to look at while the kids
climbed, jumped, and slid on great party inflatables donated by one of our loyal customers.
